Dear prime minister, Jacinda Ardern.

Dear prime minister, Jacinda Ardern.

Hello, my name is Leo and I go to Otaki college. I live in Otaki on the west coast, near Kapiti Island. I’m writing to you to thank you for being there for us at this time.

Firstly, I want to recognise all the hard work and tough decisions you have made whilst thinking of us all. The stress of all New Zealand on you must have been hard. I think we all recognise the hard work you have put in.

Secondly, your great leadership skills help you stay positive, confident, and open to all questions. You staying calm has helped us all stay calm. You've been a great leader, and I respect all the choices that were made.

Thirdly, I want to thank you for just being there for all of us. Also, you being responsible and a step ahead has helped a lot. If it wasn't for you, New Zealand might look something from Donald Trump's thoughts. I shudder to think what would happen if it weren't for you.

So, I just want to say thank you, for all the things you have done, and what a great leader you are. I recognise all the hard work you have done.

From Leo
