The fiasco at the stream

In the weekend I went to Kapiti island with my cousin Tui. My family owns some of the island. On Kapiti there is a little stream with eels in it.

 Tui had spotted two feathers in the water and ordered me to go and lure the eels away. (If you want to lure a eel away you need to create ripples in the water) I grabbed a Long stick and some stones and dropped them into the water. As soon as the eel had gone, Tui rolled up her pants and careful clambered into the water but the eel sensed her ripples and speed over to her and bit her on the ankle. She screamed and I screamed. she raced out of the water. Then she made a video on her phone and I thought she was being stupid. 

In the end we totally forgot of the fiasco at the stream.

This week i have been doing lots of drawing and i mean LOTS of drawing. I have drawn lots of random but cool pics. My favourite drawings are the dragons and the circle with the mountain range and sunset. My least favourite drawings are the art and the small 4 petals flower. I think this is my best drawing.

Cricket rounders

Today we had Mr Terita and he taught us cricket rounders. I was in a group with Zharn, Kade, Jerry, Allie, Liley, Ronan C, Manace, Gorgio, Kasey and Charlotte. We were fielders(trying to catch the ball). Charlotte was laying around and was not spaced out from me probably so we could talk, anyway as we slowly got the other team out we managed to get 36 points but the other team got 55. We had 1 player less than the other team so we got out pretty quickly. Overall it was a good game.

The Arts 

The Arts is great thing to do on a rainy day. The arts are also a group of crafty things that have a creative freedom to do anything you would like. This group composes of Dance, Drama,  Music and Visual arts. 

The Visual arts is a small group of artistic ways to express happiness or just have some fun. Most art things can be very messy like painting or pastas, but some things like drawing is not messy.

Dance and Drama are amazing hobbies to do. Most dance and drama happens as a show or play. The main things in this group are: plays, singing, dancing and kapa haka. 

Music is also pretty awesome hobbie. Musical instruments are good things to do when you want space or just want to have some fun.

My Holidays

In the holidays me, Dad and Pipi went to Kapiti island for 5 days. Mum was already at the Kapiti. As we loaded into the boat 24 loud teenagers that were Year 10 and 11 that were studying Moari tourism.

Pipi, me and Dad were all separated and Pipi was sitting next to a girl that was quiet loud. Once we got on to the island me and Pipi raced up to the lodge to meet mum.

The next couple of days were pretty boring so I had started going down to meet the boat that carried people to and from the island. On one particular day Mrs spratt and Russel spratt came over to the island. 

In the end it was a good 5 days on Kapiti island. The Kaka returned from the bush to rob people of their food and the Saddelbacks made there calls heard.

Holes

This book is so good. I probably wouldn't have read it if the teacher didn't read it to us. This book has such a good story and it goes up and down for Stanley. I highly suggest this book for 8-12 year old.

Fish in a Tree

My favourite piece of artwork are the butterflies at shay’s birthday party at butterfly gardens.

They tie in with the story off ally grabbing at a pore innocent butterfly.

Hi! I'm Leo. I live in Otāki. I am 10 years old and a year 6. My teacher is Mrs Spratt. She is the best teacher ever! Room 4 has changed a lot over the time that i have been here. From the time that i first stepped into the class for my first day i knew this class was the best for me. Over time classmates feel like you have known them forever although you only known theme for 10 months.
